The Gateway Village has been designed with the highest level energy efficiency and durability in mind. By exceeding minimum established energy saving criteria of the U. S. Green Building Council’s LEED Core & Shell program,
the project will produce long-term cost savings for the developer and tenants. High efficiency lighting, controls, mechanical ventilation equipment, windows and roof and wall insulation all work together to contribute to a 14-17% energy savings beyond the LEED green building standard. Since LEED requirements are generally more stringent than local code requirements, this could equate to more than 20%+ savings beyond local energy code requirements, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in energy savings each year.
