This is not your typical coffee shop!

What makes this coffee shop so different is the blend of western breakfast foods and sandwiches, with Asian delicacies. If you want to try just one of their uncommon treats, make it the Lotus Cookie.

Shaped like the flower from which it gets its name, the cookie tastes like a sweet and slightly salty won ton. Other Asian items include the steamed pork dumpling, assorted sandwiches, Thai tea, Bubble tea, Vietnamese iced coffee and Lao iced coffee.

For those of you who want to stick to American food, what they label “Euro” on the menu, there are muffins, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and you can even get good old ham and cheese on a bagel for lunch.

European style drinks include Italian soda and Cremosa. Cremosa is an Italian cream soda with whipped cream.

Those wanting typical coffee shop faire will not be disappointed. You will find your latte, macchiato, cappuccino, and espresso. Coffee Fusion also serves coffee for the purist, gourmet dark roast, black. Neither shaken, nor stirred, nor steamed.

Outside tables sit under the trees where friends can relax, chat, and play cards on a balmy day. Inside the vibe is café casual, like an early 1970s sandwich shop having a decidedly 21st century twist with the use of muted nature tones and pendant lighting. And Wi-Fi is available to customers both inside and out.

“I love that Murfreesboro has such a cool place,” said one recent customer, describing Coffee Fusion to a friend on his cell phone. “It has this upscale, big-city feel without leaving town.”

They are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
